Ferry routes on Baikal
Visiting Baikal every tourist must take a ferry trip. During the trip, they can look through the crystal clear Baikal water, enjoy the local nature views from the ship and, if they are lucky, see the Baikal nerpa! There are many interesting touristic routes on the lake where you can go by foot. However, some places can only be reached by water. For example, to Olkhon Island or Chivyrkuiskiy bay tourists can go only by a ship.
The Eastern-Siberian Inland Navigation Company organizes ferry trips on Baikal for citizens and guests of Irkutsk. There are two points in the city where you can start your trip: “Pristan’ Raketa” (dock “Rocket”) and “Pristan’ Bul’var Gagarina” (“Gagarin Avenue” dock). You can see their location on the Irkutsk Map. On this page you can learn about ferry routes on Baikal. If you need any additional information, please write to us using the Contact Form.
