The length of the Kyngarga River is 27 km. The left bank of the river is a walking trail for tourists. It leads from Arshan village to the first waterfall (6 meters).
There are about 12 waterfalls on the river. The largest one has a height of about 10 m. Waterfalls on the Kyngarga River are one of the main objects of tourists visiting the resorts of Arshan.
The river name in the Buryat language sounds as «Khangarge» — «the drum river»

Thermal Springs
If you are interested in hot springs, we recommend visiting the Zhemchug village, 40 km from the Arshan.
Thermal Springs of Zhemchug annually attracts a considerable number of guests. People come here for the treatment and have a great time in nature for the weekend. July and August are considered the hottest months, but visiting the thermal springs in winter is also an unforgettable pleasure!

Peak of Love
The mountain is a trendy place among tourists. The height of the mountain is 2451 meters. Tourists can rise the mountain trail, from which you can admire the beauty of the taiga (local forest). The route is not challenging. In general, a way to the Peak of Love takes 4 or 5 hours walking.
According to a legend, young people in love go to the Peak to test their love’s strength. They look into each other’s eyes at the top of the mountain. Arshan is a magical place — spirits help them understand whether they made the right choice, linking fate with this man or woman.
It is not difficult to get to the mountain top; however, what will you see in the eyes of your beloved at the Peak of the Sacred Mountain?

The Bowl of the Virgins
Bowl of Virgins is a stone bowl in the Bukhota River, flowing 3 km from Arshan. According to the Buryat people’s customs, the bride bathes in this bowl before the wedding.
Then, the bride and her friends went to a secret place performed the ritual of washing and giving gifts to their ancestors’ spirits. Near Arshan, a similar ceremony took place in the Bukhota River. It is a fantastic place, filled with strength and energy!

The weather changes very often. For example, heavy rain can suddenly change the brightly burning sun.
In general, there are more sunny days than rainy. However, it is worth paying attention to the fact that the temperature drops significantly at night. Therefore, the heat of 25° in the afternoon in July can be replaced by 8° at night. Don’t forget warm clothes!
